The handing out of The International Ibsen Award 2009

The International Ibsen Award for 2009 were handed out to Ariane Mnouchkine at the National theatre in Oslo on September 10th.

The award ceremony was held at 7 pm on 10 September on the Main Stage at the National Theatre. The award ceremony opened with a speech by comittee member Anna Bache-Wiig. Then, a special video made by Théâtre du Soleil was shown, and was followed by an in-depth interview with Ariane Mnouchkine. 

A press conference was held on the same day at 10 am in the theatre foyer.
